NB Constance

HULL:

Built in 1986 by Alvechurch Boats this 50ft narrowboat is painted in two tone blue with a red coachline. She has a cratch with cover at the bow and a pram cover over her cruiser deck at the stern . Her original thickness was 6/4mm but she had a new baseplate in June 2022 as a result of a survey, this was an additional 6mm, she was also blacked at this point and has 10 anodes.

Height to Cabin Centre 6ft 4” (1.94m)

FIT OUT:

She is insulated and lined with Tongue and Groove which is painted. The floor is laid to carpet tiles.

GALLEY (5.2ft/1.6m):

The galley is at the front of the boat, it consists of a range of white units with a solid wooden worktop, To one side there is a 3 burner gas hob with glass lid and a separate Thetford gas oven . Opposite is a shoreline 12v fridge and a microwave. Along with a number of storage units. On the bulkhead wall are shelves beside the stable style front doors out to the front deck.

SALOON (15ft/4.6m):

The saloon is situated in the centre of the boat it has a light airy feel she has a pull out sofa bed and two free standing chairs. There are a set of side doors along with the large windows, to one side is a drop down table with two chairs, opposite set on a tiled hearth towards the forwards of the cabin is a morso Solid fuel stove, before you enter the galley

BATHROOM (5.5ft /1.7m):

This walk though bathroom has two doors to close it off from the rest of the boat, this makes for a large and roomy bathroom. It has a jabsco macerator toilet, a large vanity unit with sink, above which is a mirror. Opposite is a quadrant shower with mixer tap and glazed door.

BEDROOM (9.5ft/2.9m):

At the rear of the boat is the bedroom comprising of a fixed double bed, with pull out extension, Above the bed is a shelf whilst below is storage, on either side of the steps are cupboards.

ENGINE ROOM (6.8ft /2.1m)& ELECTRICS

Under the cruiser deck is a BMC engine which was reconditioned in 2020 and last serviced in 2022, it is attached to a PRM gearbox. There is a landline connection with a galvanic isolator, with a battery management system, it has 1 starter and 3 domestic batteries along with a battery charger and a 3kw inverter. There is a calorifier with an immersion heater

Heating is provided by the solid fuel stove.

OTHER EQUIPMENT:

2 x 13kg gas bottles, life ring, anchor, water hose with reel, mooring equipment. 2 solar panels 165w each.
