NBCromwell

We are instructed by the owner to sell this 40ft boat, built by Dartline in1979.

She has a steel hull with a wood and fibreglass cabin.  She regrettably sank recently due to water ingress via the deck boards which were exposed to the elements during a period of heavy rain. Re-floated immediately, she was surveyed in May 2024.

From this survey, we learn that some welding work is required to the bottom of the strake around the transom, that the gas locker needs de-rusting and painting and that all water outlets should be checked for water-tightness. Overall though, the steel hull itself is sound and NB Cromwell could provide an appropriately priced base for anyone looking for a project boat.

 The engine is a Lister SR2 with a Lister LH150 gearbox, both of which will probably need attention to get them running again. The interior will obviously require considerable attention too and a new boat safety certificate is required for any existing and future systems which are on the boat.

 The hull and engine could potentially form the basis of a future small working boat for specific application.

 It will be up to the purchaser to establish if systems are functioning. As we have only very limited knowledge of the boat due to the nature of its sale.
