NB Adams Doobie

HULL:

Built by Springer in 1977, she has recently undergone a complete refit by the owner. The result is an interior which looks modern and chic with a sense of space that one wouldn’t typically expect on a 36 footer.

She was last surveyed in June 2023, when some over-plating was done around the stern post and the exhaust outlet, 4 new anodes were fitted and the hull was blacked at the same time. The spacious cruiser stern has a canvas pramhood to match the canvas cratch cover, both of which are in excellent condition. The storage locker for the 2 gas cylinders is located on the rear deck.

The floors are wood laminate, the ceiling is Neptine 250 PVC and the interior sides are PVC clad marine ply. The exterior of the boat was last painted in 2007. There are 2 new 390w solar panels on the roof and all interior lights are LED.

Height to Cabin Centre 6ft 0” (1,8m)

BATHROOM: (6ft 4” / 1,9m)

Stepping down from the rear deck into the boat, the bathroom is to the left. There is a shower and a rectangular hand basin on a thick solid timber top. Underneath is a generous vanity with 3 cupboards. There is a space currently occupied by a temporary toilet but which will ultimately require a proper cassette model.

SALOON/CABIN: (6ft 8” / 2,02m)

Light and spacious, this mid-section of the boat has a pull-out sofa bed to provide seating during the day and up to 2 berths at night. There are 3 incorporated storage drawers.

GALLEY: (8ft 0” / 2,4m)

The galley at the fore of the boat shows off crisp clean lines with thick laminated oak work surfaces and plenty of storage in the cupboards below. There is a deep stainless steel sink, an under-counter fridge, a 2 plate gas hob and a Caple gas oven beneath that. On the opposite side is a multifuel stove located just inside the 2 doors opening onto the well deck. LED variable colour under-gunwhale lighting adds a pleasing look to the interior.

The boat does not have a source of hot water fitted yet and requires a gas water heater to be fitted. Space has been left on the wall for this, the flue is already installed, as is all of the new piping. Mounted under the kitchen units is a BLUETTI 2kw power unit, charged by the solar panels but which can also be charged via shoreline. It is Bluetooth controlled and serves as a 3kw inverter/solar/battery charger all in one neat unit.

WELL DECK (3ft 7 / 0,9m)

The galley opens out to the covered well deck with a clear glazed cratch board. Clad in painted T&G, it has bench seating at the front and sides with additional storage underneath.

ENGINE & ELECTRICS

The vessel is powered by a 10,3kw 2YM15 Yanmar engine which has been reconditioned with a reported 289 hours since then. There is 1 starter battery plus the 2kw BLUETTI lithium battery and 790w solar panels, as previously mentioned.

OTHER EQUIPMENT:

2 X 13kg gas cylinders and mooring equipment.
