NB Manatee is a 42ft cruiser stern narrowboat built and fitted out in 1999 by MCC Stenson. The cruiser stern is 5’6”/1,7m in length. She was last blacked in 2023, at which time she had 4 new anodes fitted.
The interior is oak finished ply and the floors are carpeted except for the galley. NB Manatee presents as a very neat, well-cared for and clearly loved vessel.
Height to Cabin Centre 6ft 4” (1.90m)
Stepping in from the rear deck, the rear cabin features 10” portholes with blinds. There is a large hanging cupboard on the port side. Her rear cabin has a fixed double berth with a useful shelf and reading lights above.
Moving forward, we find the with shower with curtain surround, a handbasin over vanity, a Thetford cassette toilet and a heated towel rail.
The U-shaped galley with white tiled splashback has laminate work tops, a stainless steel sink, houses a Shoreline 12v fridge with freezer compartment, a Vanette gas oven/grill and 4 burner hob.
With an open plan layout to the galley, the pullman dinette also serves as a comfortable seating area which also doubles as a guest double berth as well as a valuable storage area beneath the seating. The bus style windows let in lots of light to this section of the boat and the door onto the well deck combines to make this the perfect place to relax and watch the world pass by whilst cruising. The well deck is 4ft/1,2m in length.
The engine is a 32hp Beta showing 3 300 running hours. The gearbox is a PRM 150. She has a diesel fired Ebersbacher heating system, 1 starter battery and 2 domestic batteries and 2 x 13kg gas cylinders. There are 3 radiators in the main living areas plus 1 in the bathroom.
