NB Shilling (31ft/9.44m)

 BSS to May 2024

Built by Mike Heywood boats in 1991 Shilling is only 31ft long but packs an awful lot of character in to that 31ft, with a tug style deck in proportion to her size. I have personally viewed and admired this boat for many years. Painted in a black, red and cream livery she is very striking. She was last out of the water for survey in 2010 and was last blacked and had anodes checked in 2019.

Height to Cabin Centre 6ft  (1.82m)

BERTHS: 2/4 Berth

Insulated with rockwool and polystyrene she has a white board ceiling with oak faced ply upper and lower sides, the floor is laid to 18mm engineered oak except for a small area of carpet in the saloon.

SALOON (7.8ft/2.4m)

Maximising the space within the cabin there is a conversion dinette which forms a very large double bed when made, utilising the area under the tug deck. There are a set of steps to the front doors which are fully glazed to the side of the doors are a pair of wall lights and a 12v Cello TV/DVD(2015) at the edge of the dinette is a solid fuel stove set on a tiled hearth.

GALLEY (4.5ft/1.4m):

For a small boat it has a good sized galley with a 2 burner gas cooker with small oven below, a stainless steel sink with cupboards below. On the opposite side is a dresser style unit with storage below and a full size 12v fridge which gives a good working space, at the end of this are a set of side doors with opening roof hatch. Opposite is a cupboard housing a separate Morco gas water heater and the hot air heating system.

BATHROOM (4.5ft/1.4m):

The bathroom is set to the side of the boat and comprises a vanity unit with sink with ornate original Dutch tiles behind it and a Thetford cassette toilet (2 cassettes) there is a shower tray in the floor and a tap fitting which can be used as a show head as well.

BEDROOM (5.9ft/1.8m):

Opposite the bathroom is a large cupboard then at the rear of the boat there is a bunk which can be converted to a set of small bunks, these are alongside the storage steps.

A Vetus M2.05 10.5 HP raw water cooled which was last serviced in 2021 it has a Hurth gearbox with 1 starter battery and 2 domestic batteries. There is a complete log of maintenance since April 2007 along with the hours run due to a faulty hour meter.
There is a 12v only system currently installed, but there is a 240 set up onboard to be installed. She has warm air heating (Gas) and a solid fuel stove for heat.
