Danny Boy is an all steel 47ft traditional stern style narrowboat built by Stowe Hill Marine in 1988. The vessel was constructed using 12/6/5/3 mm plate the vessel has a forward well deck with gas lockers and storage in the bow accessible via a door. The cratch board drops down and forms a small table.
This is covered by a new canvass cratch cover there are also back and side hatch covers all new in 2019. To the stern is a short traditional style aft deck.
She was last blacked and surveyed in June 2019. (A copy of the survey is available to view on request in the office)

She is insulated with polystyrene and clad with Oak T & G to the upper sides and Oak panelling below the gunnel. The main part of the boat is laid to carpet the bathroom is laminate and the engine room and back cabin are planks.
The saloon is entered via the steps. To your right is a Morso Squirrel stove (with a back boiler for hot water) it is set on a blue and white tiled hearth there are two small arm chairs. Light is provided by the portholes and there are a number of 12v and 240V sockets.
The L shaped galley has a number of cupboards below and a shelves above. There is a round brass sink and matching tap. There is a 12v Electrolux fridge and an Oven/Grill and Hob. Behind the stove and round the walls are decorative matching wall tiles and extra light is let in to the kitchen by the Houdini hatch in the roof.
BATHROOM (5ft2”/1.58m): The bathroom is partially tiled the remainder being wood clad. The bathroom consists of a shower cubicle with tiled surround and curtain, a porta potti toilet and a vanity unit with shell detailed basin. In the corridor is a hanging wardrobe space.
The bedroom has a fixed double berth with a reading light and a Houdini hatch over. There are three large drawers under the bed for additional storage, there is a door leading on to the engine room.
The engine room has a set of side doors to the one side, housed in the compact engine room is a Perkins D3 engine with a PRM 160 gear box, it has a single 70amp alternator 1 starter battery and 3 leisure batteries. (last serviced 2019)
REAR CABIN : There is a rear cabin beyond the engine room although it is not set out as a traditional boatman’s cabin it has an L shaped seating area with storage under which could be used as additional single sleeping accommodation. In the corner is a hand basin and a small S/F range.
2x13kg gas bottles, 3 x fire extinguishers and a fire blanket, mooring equipment.
